Our story
Skald’s Echo is a virtual music project. All five members are fictional characters — digitally created performers, not real people — and their story below is lore, not biography.
The project takes its name from the skalds, the poets of the old north. Its songs pair Icelandic and Faroese lyrics with cinematic pop production: wide skies, slow-building choruses and firelit quiet.
In the lore, it begins at the water’s edge, where Eira sings into the cliffs and hears her own voice return as an echo.
Four travellers from far shores — Eirik, Rida, Freya and Brook — follow that echo north and choose to stay.
Their first release carries the project’s own name: Skald’s Echo. A new album, Eldur í Hjartanu (“Fire in the Heart”), is now being prepared — old words, new light, one shared flame.
